NetSuite VP of Engineering Brings Industry Vision and Thought Leadership to Prestigious UK Ecommerce Awards
LONDON, UK—September 9, 2014—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced that James Cronin, VP of Engineering at NetSuite, has been selected as a judge in the eCommerce Awards for Excellence 2014. Now in its sixth year, the prestigious eCommerce Awards for Excellence recognise top retailers in the UK that are delivering leading-edge online shopping experiences across 20 different categories.
Mr. Cronin will serve as a judge of finalists in two categories—Best eCommerce Customer Service Award and Best eCommerce Re-Design/Re-Launch.
"I am honoured to have been chosen as a judge to select the forward-thinking retailers who are delivering superior customer experiences and have executed the most innovative ecommerce re-design," said Mr. Cronin. "These are exciting times and we're at a tipping point with mobile—it's more important than ever for retailers to build fully responsive sites that allow customers to interact with their brand using mobile and tablet devices. And with the rapid growth of online purchasing, retailers need to meet customer expectations for a consistent and engaging brand experience regardless of the device they use."
Selection as a judge for this year's eCommerce Awards for Excellence recognises Mr. Cronin's thought leadership in the ecommerce industry and his accomplished career, including his most recent role as co-founder and Group CIO for Venda, which was acquired by NetSuite this year. The world’s cloud business management suite leader, NetSuite has established a strong footprint in the UK and the rest of Europe as more and more businesses are moving their mission-critical business processes to the NetSuite cloud.
NetSuite's acquisition of Venda demonstrates the company's commitment to the business expansion throughout Europe and the continuation of significant investment NetSuite has already made in two major growth areas: a solution that enables companies across industries to re-platform core operational business systems in the cloud and the transformation of those core operational business systems to help organisations transform B2B and B2C commerce to support an omnichannel world. As the Internet has required all companies to put the cloud at the centre of their business strategy, organisations are now re-platforming systems from last generation client-server software delivered by companies like Sage and Microsoft to next-generation platforms born on the cloud like NetSuite.
Today, more than 20,000 companies and subsidiaries depend on NetSuite to run complex, mission-critical business processes globally in the cloud. Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise-class cloud ERP suites for divisions of large enterprises and mid-sized organisations seeking to upgrade their antiquated client/server ERP systems. NetSuite excels at streamlining business operations, as demonstrated by a recent Gartner study naming NetSuite as the fastest growing top 10 financial management systems vendor in the world. NetSuite continues its success in delivering the best cloud ERP/financial suites to businesses around the world, enabling them to lower IT costs significantly while increasing productivity, as the global adoption of the cloud accelerates.
